  The black lives matter movement is not improving the situation it's whipping people up to a frenzy of hate. I don't like racism but is that what is really happening here? Where I live you hear on the news almost everyday more shootings and sad to say 99% are perpetrated by black males. The next day you see the mother being interviewed and if no police where around she complains where were the police. If her son was the shooter and was shot by police she says he was sick and needed medical help. It's a never ending situation here yesterday a teenager tried to kill his mother and burn the house down then charged the police with a weapon and was shot. I could go on but I don't know the answer but people make it sound like innocent black men are being rounded up and shot. I think there's a real problem and the police are in a difficult situation because when a criminal is resisting and he's a big guy with a weapon or not it's hard to be gentle.

  This is just making everybody feel edgy and very sad.

  my heart goes out for all people stuck in all high control groups, either with insight into the falsehood of their beliefs or none.. to remain a member whilst knowing it false however, must be soul destroying.. my question is, would you carry on living the lie if you discovered that we get one life, one go at existing.

  it's short, it's fragile and nobody in 100 years will care we even existed..... .......if you came to that realisation would you quit?.

  .......if you had children, would you leave in order to set them an example in strength and appreciation of the short time we enjoy?.

  Yes I believe it is soul destroying. I know that leaving can be intense but it's worth it. I'm going to be direct about what I think people should leave what they know is wrong at any cost because staying gives power to the organization. It contributes to their ability to hurt more people it feeds their hunger and it allows them to continue.

  We are fortunate to live in a time that they can't torture and kill us for our dissent but I firmly believe that if they were in power and could get away with it we would be hunted and executed. Why wait for god and the angels when you can do it now would be their cry.

  do you know the name of the country where the wt said the brothers walked thru alligators infested waters to go to the assembly, etc?

  crocodiles on the banks lining up like army tanks

  witnesses begin their swim hope they've worked out at the gym

  bibles wrapped in plastic bags their names pinned on with plastic tags

  soon the waters start to churn as witnesses each take their turn

  will angels hold back all their foes will hippos nibble on their toes

  the story is so often told of witnesses so brave and bold

  but really it was just a lie told by a crazy witness guy

  pointless .

  pointless and a waste of time (though it is 3 o'clock in the morning) to remain in bed when the energy expended in tossing and turning can be put to better use elsewhere.

  better use when i can get my mind out of the gutter and the realms of depression and despair that cater so willingly to the man held captive in his nightly horizontal prison.. i am up, thrusting myself from the uselessness of too much sleep, too much recumbence, too much nothing.. it's a given there's a force directing me beyond voluntary reflexes.

  The Watchtower leaders are afraid of our elephants

  in the 1960's, when i was most active as a jehovah's witness, it was a different, more relaxed religion.

  we were filled with confidence about our "truth" because we were skilled in rebuttal, overcoming objections, and we encouraged tough questions to test our mettle in the door to door work.. when an anti-dub book like "30 years a watchtower slave" was released, we all couldn't wait to read it and comment about it.it was seen as a pathetic effort at spite--never as a serious threat to our confidence in what we had.. so--what was different about the jw religion and our skillset back then from the watchtower world of paranoia and enforced loyalty today?i think i know.. we were like boxer george foreman before ali knocked him out.

  we were mike tyson before buster douglas introduced his face to the canvas in that ring in japan.we were bullet proof.. not until you have a bone-shaking reckoning do you lose confidence and wonder, "wtf just happened?
